Day 22

Guess what? She’s back online. Finally. In a little over three weeks! Congrats my dear!

Guess what? She’s back online. Finally. In a little over three weeks! Congrats my dear!

So that was that. I’ll be off for the next few days and chances are that your original virtual landlady will be back online soon. As in … well, soon.
Nike: Violating your blog was good, clean and SFW fun … I’ll probably sneak back in sometime … err … soon. ![]()

A light at the end of the tunnel. At least that’s what she believes it is. They promised to send a new modem next week — well, I guess they love their families (and kneecaps), too.

Still offline. I’ve been told the computer has been fixed but the sadists at “Deutsche Telekom” refuse to send a new DSL modem. Well actually they promised to send one, but they don’t. Which makes it even worse, kind of.
Not the meteorological ‘zomg its gonnarainwtf’ style nor the economical ‘zomg mymoney isgonewtf’ type.
Just a plain and old fashioned depression.
de·pres·sion, -noun
a condition of general emotional dejection and withdrawal; sadness greater and more prolonged than that warranted by any objective reason.
Hmm… then again …. three days offline is a very objective reason …. cheer up honey, it’s not even a depression (yet)!
Oh, and because you’d have asked anyway: The graphics is by candykiller.
Find the computer in this picture:

That’s right. There is no computer. Offline day two and actually she appeared pretty sane. I think she even said something about “enjoying the housework” (I might have gotten that wrong, though). Other than that she complained about the television programme being utterly boring.
But there’s also good news: The “Deutsche Telekom” technician arrived (miracle #1) right within the announced timeslot (miracle #2), located the problem (miracle #3) and at least fixed the telephone (miracle #4). That’s enough for one day, I guess.
Offline, day one: she is starting to go insane. She’s listening to Kajagoogoo Queen to get that 80s feeling and she just announced that she’ll be writing “letters” now:
let·ter, -noun
a written or printed communication addressed to a person or organization and usually transmitted by mail.
She assured me this could be done without major technical assistance? (?!), so if you want one of those: send me your address (via eMail will do, I still have internet after all) and I’ll forward it when I talk to her.
Honey, they just don’t operate phone- and DSL-lines at a million Volts (and trying to do so obviously doesn’t speed things up).

So she’s offline for now. Not much more to say, really. She’ll be back soon.
We’re back from vacations, and I brought some pics, for those interested. (Click the thumbs for a larger image).
Starring: An island, up in the North Sea:
My man
and me.
And the li’ll one, getting cuter with each day. Here’s Joshua:
Forgotten someone? Oh, right: The puppy! I wouldn’t go anywhere without Paula:
Joshua took a pirate cruise. Here he is, in front of the pirate ship, looking as grim as he can:
And here he is, surrounded by some of his fellow apprentice pirates. It was conglomerate cuteness.
Best thing for him? was that they actually let the kids stir the ship. Like, really. Here he is, concentrating veryvery hard.
At the beach, Joshua caught tons of crabs, herrings and prawns (both baby ones) with his dip net. They were easy prey once the water retreated to low tide. But he all let them go again safe and sound, don’t worry.
He looks so grown-up all of a sudden…
Foehr is an island of roses. There are roses everywhere, shading the walkways and covering the houses.
And there were storks everywhere, living on the rooftops.
Here’s a nice one of Joshua and me.
His hair is almost longer than mine, now. He wants to let it grow longer still.
Attention: Cuteness alert!
This lovely fountain actually belongs to a small restaurant, where the rosegarden is full of hidden little treasures to look at.
So that was it. Photo taken on the ferry back - and it was raining, too. Josh’s still smiling, though.
Bonus: Seagulls and sea swallows. I liked the eerie feel about it.
