20 Days of Questions – Day six: Superhero (Chrome!)

Here is chrome’s question – finally! :)

“If you could have any ONE “super power” (as in “super hero ability”), totally ignoring all known and unknown laws of nature, physics, whatever … what would that be, why and what would you use it for?”

Chrome is right. The more you think about this, the tougher it gets. This is not about “Do you wanna be Superman or Batman? First thoughts were easy, like being able to fly, or x-ray vision (very useful when it come to… ok, forget it :D ). But then, I thought about the endless possibilities, and things got difficult. What about (more…)

20 Days of Questions – Day five. V1ctorya!

Stay tuned for Day Five’s question by the lovely V1ctorya (and it was her to tell me “I want to read more about YOU” in the first place).

Q by V1c: Do you feel everything you do has a purpose? Must all actions have any kind of purpose?

Ha. :) No and no. We grow up in a world where many things happen without purpose or sense. As children, the adult world is completely aimless for us. They do all sorts of things that seem terribly important for them, but are absolutely pointless in our point of view.

I remember, when I was a child, (more…)

20 Days of Questions – Day four. MUSIC!

Here is a day of just music-related questions. They are from ManFromSun, thanks sunny.

Before answering, I have to say something, tho: I have phases and listen to music to influence my own moods. Music is a way of surviving for me, so this hugely differs. There cannot be a favourite *anything* in music, because it depends what I want to achieve with it and which instrument of my soul needs to be currently played. But I’ll try my best. ;)

Q: Favourite album of the year?

OK, there are dozens. I just name the first one that comes to mind, and that is special and original and amazing and I just love it: Guillemots, Through The Windowpane. Thanks so much, kittenz, for recommending it.

Q: Which song always makes you cry? (more…)

20 Days of Questions – Day three. RevVassago!

My worthy friend RevVassago took up the challenge to ask some more difficult questions. Here they are.

Q: You have to murder a member of your immediate family. Who do you murder and why?

Easy. My father. We never had a good relationship. If it can be called a relationship at all. He never was there for me when I needed him. Then one day, I decided I had suffered from that enough, and resolved to stop needing him. I am indifferent towards him nowadays, so I would not find pleasure in killing him. But as I don’t need him, he would be dispensable.

Q: If you could cure all world disease, but to do so, 20% of the worlds population had to die, would that be too large a price to pay?

Logically: Of course not. More than 20% of them will die of diseases anyways. The more philosophical approach to the questions would be if the world would be better without ANY diseases. What would people die of? And if all of us died from old age, would that change the world for the better? No idea.

Q: If you had to do it all over again, would you? (more…)

20 Days of Questions – Day two.

Remember? For 20 days, I will answer no matter what questions for anyone who cares to ask. Only condition: Rather SFW (they may be secks-related, but you won’t get details). Today’s question is here:

Q by Axiom: What are your opinions on the French revolution?

Oh boy. Now you’re going political on me. ;) Actually, I did the French Revolution as part of my final university exams, and I thought I needn’t think about it ever again. The things that happen in a Worth1000 chat channel. ;) But ok, here goes.

End of the 18th century, change was overdue. Humankind was developing faster than ever before (in an evolutionary way). Technological, socioeconomic, and cultural changes happened everywhere. And the most important thing was: The human mind had tasted the blood of individuality. The political structures were still rather medieval, though. The kettle was boiling already. Change was overdue. It had to happen.

How it happened is something else entirely. You all know the revolution ate its children. But a project as big as this kinda had to get out of control, I guess. My personal favourite character of the FR is Danton, and I wish he would have lived to see his dreams come to fruition. But that was not to be. Life is seldom fair, and politics are probably never.

I hope this was answered to your satisfaction. :)

I still think you could ask more interesting questions, kids. A mentor once said: “It’s not important which answers you have. It is important to ask the right questions”.

20 Days of Questions – Day one.

Here are some questions from chat. Easy ones, though. C’mon, folks, you can do much better than that. :P

Q by rhiannonsmommy: What is your favorite food?

A: Hm, gotta think about this. I like almost every kind of food, asian food slightly favored to other countries. So my favorite food changes. Right now, it might be tuna salad. Organic tuna, btw. :P

Q by mortalwombat: If you were a piece of lawn furniture, which one would you be?

A: Definitely a swing. When I was a little girl, I used to swing until I was almost flying. I loved to jump at the highest point, too. Still love swings, and often abuse my kids’ swing.

Q by mortalwombat: If you could do one good deed, which one would it be?

A: Heh. I played 20Q in chat once, with two great guys, and I actually asked this very question. One of them had an answer so simple and perfect that it erased any other possibility of answering for evermore. So I have to give the answer originally stated by MasterGnu: I’d eliminate stupidity. All other problems will solve themselves then.

But hey. This is about finding out things. I’m looking forward to some more probing questions. :D

(But remember, keep them SFW. More or less, at least. Like a Worth 13+ contest, ok. Yes, chrome. You too).

The “20 of YOUR questions” challenge

I felt like trying something else.

A nice lady said lately, when reading my blog “But I want to read more about YOU!” She may be right.

I’m very open and outgoing at first sight, but there are many things that I share seldom, if ever.

So here is my challenge – for me, and for you. I will answer 20 days of questions. Yes, I changed that from 20 questions to 20 days of questions, because some people already complained only 20Q would be unfair. ;)

I’ll take them in chat, (#worth1000, of course), or you can mail or pm or comment them to me. Anyhow. Not necessarily each day, but I’ll try. :P And I’ll be as honest as I can. Starting as soon as I have the first question.

WTF?

This was linked at Worth, and it was so weird I had to share it.

Be warned, though, it turns out completely different than you might think. And is kinda NSFW, or NSF anyone with any other kind of humour but really sick and twisted. So yeah, sick and twisted kinda describes it.

No, not that sappy novel. Me. :D

We’ll be leaving for vacations on sunday. We’re going up north (where else) to the lovely island of Foehr? on the North Sea. I love the North Sea.

So to guide you through the dark days without me, I’ll leave you to ponder

Frodo’s Encouraging Song

“O! Wanderers in the shadowed land
despair not! For though dark they stand,
all woods there be must end at last,
and see the open sun go past:
the setting sun, the rising sun,
the day’s end, or the day begun.
For east or west all woods must fail…”

Have a great time, folks. I’ll try and do the same.
