No more Bush-bashing from tomorrow on. Either way. :D

This is pretty darn interesting.

If the world could vote.

Noticed how countries with non-democratic tendencies tend towards McCain? *g*

Well, no secret what I would vote, right? Although, on the other hand… McCain and Palin would probably make even better laughing stock than Mr. George W. Or almost.

What next?

So, the Flora and Fauna September is almost finished. I enjoyed it and hope you did, also.

What is going to happen next?

I gave you a poem each day in August, and a photo at least on most of the days of September. What do you want for October?

O Sista, Where Art Thou?

Winter has been coming. Christmas rushed passed, an old year died, a New Year came.

I did not blog.

And I hereby apologize. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. As a reconsiliation, you get the latest family picture. The three of us at Christmas. Aren’t we sweet? Yeah, the li’ll one makes faces, he always does that for the camera. *rolleyes*

the family

So what happened? Well, I took another job. Or the job took me. It was more or less a coincidence. I went out with a friend, and while we were chatting over a beer, she mentioned how desperately they look for people in their office. People to do customer liaison and support. I was big-mouthed as ever and said “Nothing I couldn’t do”. And she said: “OK, see you on Monday”. (It was on a Saturday).

Since then, I’m there. It started as three times a week for 2 hours, now it’s daily from 8 to noon. And I gotta say I like it.

The drawback is - I already had a job. You might recall I was working for a private English school, giving lessons to children, a job I thoroughly enjoy and love. Right now, I am working double: Office in the mornings, school in the afternoon, preparing lessons and doing the conceptual planning for the school.

It’s just too much. Joshua is not taking it easily, he’s throwing tantrums at least five times a day. And I am exhausting myself. I gotta decide. Deadline I set myself is March.

So this is the news. I promise I’ll try to update more often again, but time is sparse these days, really. I just barely find time for producing art, and art is as important as breathing for me.

So I’ll hang in there, and you guys will, too, until I’ve got more time for you again, ok? :)

Idjits.

20 Days of Questions - Day nine. Math!

Nike | 20 Days of Questions, random fun stuff | Monday, September 24th, 2007

The lovely V1c again, and she shot three questions at me. Those questions are concerning math, philosophy, science, geography and history. I hate you, V1c. ;) No, not really.

As all three of them call for a rather longish answer, I will answer all of them in a separate entry (and each will be a day of its own). The first one is day eight, and it’s a really tough one for me.
Question #1 by V1c: Do you believe in the fundamental basis of mathematics or was it something concocted to keep men busy and feeling superior as they play with little made-up numbers? Is it just another way to provide fake proof to theories that continue the subjugation of people or is there some real basis to it? Is it a pure science, from God, a divine entity, natural, or another creation of man?

This is a tough one because I used to hate math when I was in school. But even then, when I was honest with myself, I admit that I rather hated it because it was a family tradition to hate it. (more…)

20 Days of Questions - Day eight. Meowza!

Q by meowza: “How did Maggie (from the Simpsons) celebrate 18 (give or take) christmases?”

Well. There could be many possible answers, some of them even easy. Maggie could just have come kind of deep-routed Peter-Pan-Syndrome, not wanting to grow up. She could be stuck in a time warp, or she could just be the illogical offspring of a TV series starring yellow cartoon characters.

But no. I do not think the solution is that easy. (more…)

20 Days of Questions - Day seven. Vika!

So today’s question came from Vika. And it’s quite simple:

“What are you wearing right now?”

Okay, it is probably too simple. But I don’t want to spoil the fun, so I’ll answer it. ;) And I’ll give you some extra information, too. :D (more…)

20 Days of Questions - Day six: Superhero (Chrome!)

Here is chrome’s question - finally! :)

“If you could have any ONE “super power” (as in “super hero ability”), totally ignoring all known and unknown laws of nature, physics, whatever … what would that be, why and what would you use it for?”

Chrome is right. The more you think about this, the tougher it gets. This is not about “Do you wanna be Superman or Batman? First thoughts were easy, like being able to fly, or x-ray vision (very useful when it come to… ok, forget it :D). But then, I thought about the endless possibilities, and things got difficult. What about (more…)
